1. 17-12 7-11
2. 49-44 18x7
3. 32-28 23x32
3. 31-27 32x21
4. 26x6

Image

Zwart kan (5-10) 15x4 (34-39) proberen. Dat verliest door 4x1 (39x50) 1-12.

Het enige serieuze alternatief is

4. ... 7-11
5. 6x17 13-18
6. 17-11 18-22
7. 11-7 22-28
8. 7-2 28-33
(28-32 eindigt na 2-24 in drievoudige oppositie)
9. 2-16! 33-39
10. 44x33 34-40
11. 16-49 40-45

Image

12. 49-32! 5-10 (want 45-50 32-14 )
13 15x4 45-50
14. 4-10!

Schande....

A. van der Stoep, Hoofdlijn mei 2006

4. 9-3 (8-13)

Image

5. 3-26 (31-36) 6. 26-17 (36x47) 7. 17x15

Image
(zwart aan zet)
7. ... (47x20)
8. 15x8! (30-34)
9. 35-30 (34x25)
10. 8-2

A. van der Stoep, De Problemist december 2006 (rubriek Forcings)
(wit 29,34,35,39,44
zwart 14,18,20,23,24)

1. 39-33 (14-19) 2. 44-40 (20-25) 3. 29x20 (25x14) 4. 33-29 (14-20) 5. 29-24 (19x39) 6. 40-34 (39x30) 7. 35x15-10-4-10-15x38-33-50.

Mooi klein ding.

How should white win after 40?

There's no exact variation in this version. After (32), both 4-13 and 19-14 win. And (35)4-13(40C)30,02 C(35-30)40 isn't exact either (there's choice for the final capture).

Just an idea ... there is alot of negatives in this position:
    - non-economic red jumps in final;
    - alternative white jump 35x24;
    - red man on 44.

Only one positive thing - beauty

Don't be shy, your composition is completely correct.
    1. 'Non-economic' is not a problem in a final position ('motief' in Dutch).
    2. Alternative white jump: in the Netherlands we call it a 'molenwiekslag'. Not very nice when a king can alternate, but a molenwiekslag with a piece is for 90% of the problemists not a problem.
    3. Red (in my country black/zwart) man on 44. Nothing wrong with it in a composition.

You've created a nice problem. Congratiulations!

    Eric

Eric, thanks for kind words ! :P It was very interesting and educatable for me to learn from your post Netherland requirements to composition. It seems like they are not as strong and restrictive, as Russian rules, which I learned many years ago before immigrated to USA in 1991.

I called "red" pieces instead "black" (also usual in Russia), because it is used in the most recent American English Draughts media due to "political correctness". Even more - most modern checkers sets in USA today have red and white pieces, in different with black and white 20 years ago !

    Here is another miniature:
