PATICK work today, so it will be difficult for him to update his site before midnight.

But I looked your diagramms. Good finish of LOUICEUS S.W against F. MAGIORRE. Good Job !!

Are Dutch players interested by this Panamerican championship ?

Only few players in France usually read international tournaments results.

What a pity !! :x

And where are others players of others countries ? Why haven't they ever

expressed thier opinions here ? :D

Most Dutch players don't realise up to now how very talented Louicéus Shang Wong and Anthony Alexandre are!!
That time will come very quickly Jacques!!
When Ndiaga Samb came to The Netherlands early '90-s most people also were disdainful. That changed quickly.
In the meantime be glad that you witnessed this tournament!!
Have a good night, Hanco

Louiceus Shang Wrong may win the tournament but Anthony Alexandre is a much stronger player, his game is deeper and more riskier

Agree that Anthony Alexandre took more risks, but that was necessary after his loss (because of too much risks) in the 2nd round against Louicéus.
Difficult to say who is stronger, Louicéus or Alexandre, I like the games from both players.
Louicéus has a very refined style, that resembles the way Bert Raven prefered to play, a bit like Alexander Dibman.
But of course Louicéus didn't take much risks in this tournament after beating Anthony Alexandre.
Alexandre reminds me of the young Ndiaga Samb.

It's partytime in Cap-Haïtien!!! We have to wait for the results until tomorrow!!

Well Jacques,
It seems Raoul Alias had a very interesting party yesterdaynight!!
No news so far from the front.

I asked Kees Thijssen what his experiences were with Alexandre and Shang Wong on Curaçao in october last year. Kees wrote:

"Deze twee spelers heb ik in Curaçao aan het werk gezien. Ze hebben zeker enige aanleg.
Zelf had ik geen problemen met Shang Wong. Voor Samb was het helemaal een feest om tegen die jongen te sneldammen om geld!
Kortom, wel aanleg, maar een verdere ontwikkeling is noodzakelijk."

In English:
"These two players I saw at work in Curaçao. They certainly have some talent.
Me, I had no difficulties with Shang Wong. For Samb it was an even better celebration to play blitz with that young man for money!
In short: do talented, but a further development is necessary."

Webmaster Jan ten Brink (tukkerjtb) is busy analysing the games from Anthony Alexandre and Louicéus Shang Wong with his computerprograms Flits, Truus and Dam 2.2. Jan will put the analysis besides the games in applet on the site of Hiltex/Amsterdam'80.

Hello Hanco,

I see that you know very prestigious players !!

I notice that a top leader usually draws against one of less strong players.

LOUICEUS S.W drew only EUGENE BRIT !!

Remember (if my memory is good !) that A. GEORGIEV drew only K.A ANDALL in world championship last year.

Be sure that HAITIAN PLAYERS will surprise most of strong european players like R. CLERC..., HANCO and me !!

I saw the site you described below. It is a beautiful site.

In Draughtsland in The Netherlands everybody knows everybody, because there are not so many people involved, Jacques!

Adam Kelvin Andall made a draw with Alexej Tsjizjov in Worldchampionship 2003 in Zwartsluis. Partly because of that lost point Alexander Georgiev remained Worldchampion!

Tukkerjtb (Jan ten Brink) indeed made a beautiful site!!

I enjoyed very much to see the games of this tournament. In the Dutch part of this Forum I read that Eric van Dusseldorp, a well-known Draughtsjournalist in The Netherlands, who has a weekly column about Draughts in 6 newspapers, also liked the way people played in Cap-Haïtien.
See Eric's site, it's in lots of languages, also in French!

Nobody knows yet Claude, we are waiting for Raoul's new message.
Maybe Fabrice Maggiore can tell?

Tukkerjtb, Webmaster from Hiltex Amsterdam analysed the Anthony Alexandre-games.
Go to:
http://www.damclubhiltex.nl/applets/
Click on the 8th link left, Toernooien.
Then above you'll see 'applets' and 'javascript' 'Alexandre' and 'Shang Wong'.
In 'javascript' you'll find what Tukkerjtb got out of his computerprograms concerning the games of Anthony Alexandre.
Jan is still busy with the analysis of the Shang Wong-games. They'll be there tomorrow.
Have a good night, Hanco
