Please, do it on Windows 10 64 bit.
Ai, I am terribly sorry, but this is really an Android only project for me. You may want to ask on the Certabo Forum if there are any plans to support checkers with a Windows application.

Re: Electronic checker boards (over bluetooth)

I have a question because I'm very interested in it. Is using a board " Electronic checker boards (over bluetooth) " to run a Russian draugths tournament in flying draughts. I would like to buy this board, but I must know that it will meet my expectations. Hi Krzysztof, I would really like to see a...

Re: Checkers for Android: Position Setup and PDN/FEN

I also added a "paste from FEN" option, which allows quickly setting up a checkers puzzle. For example, to study one of the problems given in the Checker Maven , simply copy the text B:WK12,15,23,28:B21,K22,K31 under the diagram to the clipboard (which even on a mobile can be done easily). Then open...

Re: Checkers for Android: Position Setup and PDN/FEN

Now that Checkers for Android supports a position setup editor, analyzing textbook studies has become a lot simpler. This has increased the significance of the small built-in endgame tablebases of my app as well, as can be seen in the study below. Here, starting from what is known as the "first posi...

Re: Checkers for Android: Position Setup and PDN/FEN

I think it's a shame that your wonderful Android work gets so little attention. OTOH, we're mostly 10x10 programmers, so if you ever get around to making a 10x10 GUI that can load engines (as you did for chess) then I think there'd be quite a bit more response. Keep up the good work! It's okay. I h...

Re: Electronic checker boards (over bluetooth)

It looks really awesome, but why isn't stacking the pieces a viable solution? Yes, Checkers for Android could easily identify the chip of the piece that promotes as a king and play from there. The human players probably want to mark that piece also somehow for their own recognition (and stacking wo...

Checkers for Android: Position Setup and PDN/FEN

I finished a position setup feature for Checkers for Android, similar to what was already in Chess for Android. This feature allows users to copy interesting checker problems from textbooks or other sources and play from there to improve their game. In addition, I added an option to show the square ...

Re: Electronic checker boards (over bluetooth)

I got my new set of identifying chips from Certabo. Together with custom-made checker pieces (courtesy Gerard Harbers) , Checkers for Android is ready to play!

Re: Electronic checker boards (over bluetooth)

Not much feedback (yet?), but I am continuing with this idea regardless. Below you see the concept, a regular piece and a king (dividing the 32 identifying chips of Certabo into 24 regular pieces and 10 kings, to avoid having to stack the regular pieces). Courtesy my brother-in-law for the 3D printe...

Re: Electronic checker boards (over bluetooth)

Happy 2019, checker friends! I extended the electronic board support in my Android chess app, which now supports Certabo, DGT, and Millennium (some USB, some bluetooth). The Certabo board in particular may be interesting for 8x8 checkers, since it ships with 34 identifying chips (full chess set + 2 ...

Re: Checkers for Android: Full Game Navigation

See if you like it. The checkers app is soon to follow! I am rolling out a new version of Checkers for Android with: Use of parentheses for alternating moves Slightly nicer layout of columns Slightly improved display while navigating Ability to export game to clipboard or sharing as PDN (portable d...

Re: Checkers for Android: Full Game Navigation

Yes, there are many apps for the casual player. Having a variety of game apps with pluggable engine support would cater to engine developers and make your apps the de facto GUI on Android. Anyway, thanks for being so responsive! I added the parentheses convention to my reversi app, together with an...

Re: Checkers for Android: Full Game Navigation

And I seem to recall that your chess app has much more functionality than checkers (endgame dbs pluggable engines e.g.), is that something you'd consider for checkers? And dare I ask if 10x10 draughts is in the cards? All requests duly noted! I have been on the fence on adding third party engine an...

Re: Checkers for Android: Full Game Navigation

It works, thanks! Some tips: as a user I expect the printed moves to be clickable / scrollable, to quickly navigate the variation tree. Is that hard to add? Also, could you add either the move number (I.e. 1. 10-14 22-18 2. 6-10 etc.), or e.g. add parentheses around the 2nd player’s moves: 10-14 (2...

Re: Checkers for Android: Full Game Navigation

Hi Aart, Just installed it on my Android 8.0 phone. I don't see move history, and only one move-back button. What gives? Thanks for your interest Rein! I did a gradual roll-out of the new feature. It is at 100% now, so you should get an update soon. Please let me know if you find any bugs (other th...
